SAHY HOUSE
The uneven terrain and the dense native vegetation of the Atlantic Forest led us to seek a structural solution using wooden tree pillars.
The old house on the lot marked the masonry and foundations that form the basis of the current project, with the addition of a balcony around the entire perimeter.
In addition to the main house, an annex called the "tiny house" was designed. This investigation of the small dwelling, of the minimum housing unit, brought about the principle of fragmentation. In this solution, the living room is positioned as the free space that integrates inside and outside.
The landscaping respected the endemic species and preserved the trees present on the lot, such as the fruit trees: cocoa, starfruit, jabuticaba and banana trees that attract the birds of the surrounding area.
The natural lighting and ventilation are generous and allow the entire house to be opened up to the balcony, which has become a viewpoint of the Serra do Mar.
